Annual Plan 2025-2026

The following is the main information related to the Annual Plan of Payippad Grama Panchayat, which is part of Changanassery Taluk of Kottayam district.

As per the annual plan of the local self-government institutions, Payippad Panchayat projects are implemented by giving priority to the sectors of infrastructure development, health, housing, clean water, and women's welfare.

Major Development Projects

The major projects completed and in progress in the panchayat as part of the recent annual plans are as follows:

Life Mission: A significant portion of the annual plan has been set aside for the Life Mission project, which provides houses to the homeless. Through this, many families have already been handed over the keys of their houses.

Drinking Water Supply: The large drinking water treatment plant built in Ward 15 (Nakraputhuval part) of Payippad Panchayat is one of the major projects presented to the people as part of the annual plan.

Infrastructure Development and Public Crematorium: This includes the Scheduled Caste-Public Crematorium built in the fifth ward of the panchayat (Aythumundakom part) as part of the annual plan. Road development and renovation of government institutions are also underway.

Health Sector: As part of the annual plan (for example: 2025-26 plans), funds have been allocated for the renovation and civil works of the Ayurveda Hospital in the panchayat, including tender procedures.

Women's Welfare and Employment: Women's loan schemes through Kudumbashree, fitness centers for women, etc. have also been implemented as part of the annual plans. There is a special proposal to set aside a specific share of the development fund for Women Component Projects (WCP).
